Rating range selection for live chess

I know the min and max settings can be set for "any" and for various amounts to -400 and +400, but would it be possible to set the ratings at let's say for instance 1200-1299, 1300 - 1399, etc?

Or, enable the "min" setting to also access positive amounts the same as the "max settings" so you could effectively select to play opponents above your current level.

Just a thought.

The range always has to include your current rating and at least a little below. That's why the ranges are set that way.

Many people would prefer to only play higher rated players and if most did that, very few people would get games.

Makes sense. Thanks for the response Martin.
