Same thing just happened to me. Was in high 1300's maybe 2 months ago, now about 100 points lower. It honestly seems like the 1300 player today is much stronger than they were a month ago. I'm thinking most of it is due to me rushing my games though.
So I was a mid 1300 player. Over a 3 week span, my rating spiked to 1500. I thought it was a breakthrough. Now i have crashed back down to low 1300, I am endagered to hit the 1200's which i haven't in about 6 months. Very reflective of the stock market.
So am I improving that i was, even though for a short time, consistently beating stronger players? or was it just a matter of probability that I'm due for a hot streak since I haven't had one for a long time.
Explanation?
