Rating System Software

I'm going to start a chess club at my school, and was wondering if anyone is familiar with any rating systems that i could use within the club. I've heard of the Harkness rating system, but i'd like something more complex. Also, it'd be great if this system could record matches, highest rating, etc. Thanks in advance

Why do you want something complex? And how do you know the Harkness system isn't complex enough for you if you've only heard about it? This place uses the Glicko rating system which strikes me as a "feel good" rating system that results in much higher ratings than would be obtained by players here (inc me) using some other system, like the one used by USCF.

Click on these links for lots of fascinating(?) facts about glicko ratings,  elo ratings, and rating theory in general.

Heard wasnt the right word to use; i've used Harkness before in my high school club, wasn't satisfied. But thank you for the links, i'm checking them out as we speak

It's up to you of course but I'd use the simplest system you can find and concentrate on playing chess instead! BUT, I never made it past algebra in HS so I guess if you're way past that maybe all this rating gobbledygook isn't anymore of a big deal to you than mating with a K+Q vs K.

These 2 links aren't really what you're looking for but since you're interested in chess ratings you should check them out
