What's the difference between a regular rating and quick rating as a USCF member? And how do I play USCF regular games here against other USCF members. Do I have to play a tournament to play another member? Sorry for my ignorance.  When I was a USCF member many years ago, you could play on their site.

You can only play US Chess rated games here with events hosted by US Chess affiliates that have clubs here; i.e. you have to play other members that have linked their US Chess and Chess.com accounts:

Also, US Chess has separate rating pools for online play: Online Blitz, Online Quick, and online Regular. The first two have the same time controls as OTB, but Online Regular is anything >=G/30.

Online play can't impact your OTB ratings either.
