I totally agree, on lichess I'm 2050 but 1650 here. I got a 400 rating difference.

Well its clearly not a 400 rating difference, you just havent played enough games here. Its still pretty odd to only be 1650 after 100 games if youre 2050 there.

Is that chart just your own games? It seems its a 200 point difference. According to that chart it seems that if youre around 2000 rank over there, that its about a 195 point difference. I was expecting 150-180. If its just 1 persons results tho, obviously results will vary. If its multiple people results, then i stand corrected.

It was a survery among a lot of people in 2016. May be 500 or 1000 people.

Lichess's initial rating is 1500, while here at chess.com is 1200. So, theoretically, the difference would be 300 points, at least at first.

I've reached 2000+ on soooo many other chess sites, but yet i cant seem to crack 2000 on here. Heck, my highest is 2126 on lichess, but no, cant get higher than 1996 on here. I mean i realize chess.com has the most comp, but 130 rating difference is very odd, dont you think? Is it just a mental thing this point instead of actual skill?

It must be all those cowards winning games, then leaving!

On a more serious note, it may be the premove system. Premoves take 0.01 seconds on the other site, while here they take 0.3 seconds.

I believe that quite a majority of players here who are not already of a 2000 rating level and finally manage to break this barrier have previously struggled around the 1950 to 2000 range.

It took me several ups and downs between 1920 rating and 1990 rating before finally hitting a perfect 2000, then went down again before finally surpassing 2000 at a later time. During the moments just before I surpassed the 2000 mark, I felt more "on-form" than my usual state and suddenly saw more tactics than I would in my normal games.

This probably has to do with the mental state of mind and panic while trying to change the first digit "1" into a "2".

Historically this was true, and maybe set some initial averages in place.

Premoves take 0.1 here and 0 on lichess.

But premoves here are stackable, so (as long as neither player is slow) you can actually squeeze in more moves here.

But that doesn't affect the rating because remember whatever you have your opponent does too, so it's not an advantage or disadvantage either way.

Yea it def seems right because since then ive gone all the way up to 2140 over there (my highest now), trading wins back and forth with 2150s.

I always believed i was just 2050-2100 over there when im clearly 2140-2180, so i guess i was just mentally defeating myself. Same can be said about not reaching 2000 on here when ive had multiple chances.

My Stats,

Current chess.com blitz = 2005 ( max= 2101)

Current lichess blitz        = 2168 ( max =2271)

I am back to 2200+ in blitz ( my strength is stronger in bullet , having 2300+)

In my experience, stockfish analysis is the key in improvement. Stock always show tactics that I miss.

My opening preparation is pretty much copy cat of Stockfish. Some people still play stupid gambits. Once I havent seen it before, I am pretty much in trouble. But once I analyse with Stockfish, all those gambits turned into useless crap for them within 10 moves.

And also strong bullet is a must to get strong blitz too. The last 20 secs in 3 min blitz always go into bullet terrority.
