i agree with him too.  while you may have been ahead by a bishop, you were down by a pawn.  and since you never moved you bishop or your knight, your bishop advantage was canceled out, so you were just down a pawn.

anyway, even with this impediment you were able to pull out the win, so way to go.

This is why there is an abort option.  The best way to get better is to play people with a higher rating than you.  If they don't want to play lower rated people they should narrow their seek to people in their acceptable range.  If they join a game with someone they don't want to play, they can abort.  Besides, if Gary Kasparov were to join chess.com today his default rating would start at 1200 like everyone else.

  • You had all that time for chatting in a 1 0 game?
  • Was very confused by your labels in the game. Apparently you were black and he was white. It was white who blundered a piece - not clear what point he thought it was impossible for you to win.

sorry, i was just trying to make a joke by coming up with any reason that black should have resigned.  although the labels at the top make mann white, he was in fact black.

i am wondering that myself.

Your opponent's comments were certainly unkind but not what I would call abusive. This is the kind of thing that is dealt with by the Block button.

ozzie_c_cobblepot

Even more effective is to simply not reply - then the counterparty is never quite sure whether you've even read their statements.

Mannn76

I was Black. i hope there was No mistake In That.

If that's not abusive then I don't know what is

Hm, really ? I would think that abuse might include threats, serious insults or such.

If you went to the police to complain that someone told you to resign a game of chess and called you "big head" I doubt that they would be very impressed.

I don't get this at all. Black destroyed white, positionally, materially and ultimately by mate - so why was he telling you to resign?! Was this at the beginning of the game before he was hopelessly bust?

Moreover, why is this guy 1900 when he can get so easily schooled by an 1100?

SimonSeirup

How did you write that much in a bullet game?

Also, the way you set the board and labelled the sides clearly suggests that you were White in this game. You're supposed to list White, then Black and flipping it around so that your side is moving from the base of the board is helpful too.

And yes, what brilliantboy said. Report the guy. It's definitely grounds for removal from the site.

Um, no.

Well yes you should report the guy. But no it's not grounds for removal from the site. For a warning, maybe. If it's the 4th or 5th time, maybe grounds for removal. But first time? No way.

To be honest here I'm still unsure which is more dysfunctional.  Trash talk during an online chess game, or whining about it in a public forum.

Perhaps this is the solution.

Because I thought that all your other posts were filled with non-honesty, I'm glad you cleared that up.

It doesn't so much suggest that my other posts are not honest, as it's anticipating how the somewhat condescending flavor of the post may overshadow the point, which is to express an honest opinion.  And it is my opinion that these whiny posts are at least as bad as the equally forgettable chess trash talk.
