My rule of thumb is to resign the moment you don't think you can win, or at least get a draw. Save your strength and energy for another game.

Recently, I have come to the conclusion that resigning early in the game is a waste. I play against so many opponents that resign when they blunder a queen, or even a rook. It is frustrating, and I think that resigning should be set for later in the game. Agree?
