That sounds reasonable. It is online chess anyways. Sometimes i forget chess is about having fun. @tawp

@MitStud i noticed after the game he hung that knight, like i said i have a lot to learn. I make a lot of mistakes, thank you for bringing that move to my attention

Yah in that game u traded queens and the next move after that u still could have won an exchange, just reduce ur blunders and get better and u will see that when ur a queen up with 0 comp for ur opponent , there really is no point playing on
SteveDevastator
Thats solid advice? Is there any other obvious areas i should be working on, if you would be so kind as to light the way for me, good sir.
MitSud
Buddy back when I was 800 I hung pieces left and right like u do, at ur level just check each move to see what pieces are attacked and defended, and any undefeated pieces, it will lower blunders a lot, also check ur opponents pieces for undefended or inadequately defended pieces, u can just win by eating free pieces
MitSud
If u want to get better go ask someone a whole lot better than I am

Ur third move was innacurate, there was no need to put a knight on the rim
On move 5, Qd3 traps his knight
On move 6 u had the same opportunity, Be3 was good tho
On move 10, why didn’t u take back with the queen, u keep ur pawn structure intact and a queen trade is good for u, ur up material
Move 16 just gives up a pawn for no reason
Move 17 was just weird, why sac a bishop for two pawns for no reason
Move 18 was another blunder, he is double attacking both ur king and rook, however something like King e2 would be still fine for u
Move 21 u could have won an exchange, attacking his queen was unnecessary, allowing him to get out by attacking ur open and weak king
Move 26, why trade ur down material, just move the bishop back, keeps the pin and attempt to play for compensation
Move 29, why not move ur king, Kf2 was much better, why put ur bishop into a pin and allow him to break with f5
Move 30 was a blunder which he didn’t pick up on Rd6 does nothing, and he can play f4 winning ur bishop, and going a fairly clean rook up.
Ur last 3 moves give up a pawn for no reason on each move, if ur aim is to not give up, giving up more material for no reason when ur already down material is not going to help.

Move 5 Qd5 was best
MitSud
Move 11 ur opponent hung the b7 pawn and therefore a rook
MitSud
Btw u played white in this game
MitSud
Move 14 u had Qe6+ winning absolutely everything
MitSud
Move 20 u blundered again, ur opponent had Rh8, Qg7, Rdg8 winning absolutely everything again
MitSud
On move 22 u gave up another pawn which ur opponent missed
MitSud
f3 was a horrible move, Kf3 was much better
MitSud
This isn’t criticism, u just need to make sure u see 90% of this stuff, straight away, so that u don’t blunder as much, and u can take advantage of ur opponents blunders. All this stuff is just stuff I saw spending about 3-4 seconds on each move, and then skimming through the game again after the first look.
MitSud
Make that 99% percent of this stuff, I’m sure I missed a load of things too, but not making these simple one or two move blunders will help u improve massively at ur level.
MitSud
On move 24, u probably also have pretty decent drawing chances with the two bishops if u play it right

I agree with some of those, although 5. Qd3 allows 5...d5.

The opportunity is not still there on move 6.

18.Kf1 was the best move - taking the rook is not black's best move (engine analysis).

Truth be told, there were tons and tons of terrible blunders and missed moves on both sides. You're spinning your wheels offering advice that specific to players of that caliber. I don't think they'll really understand the why of what you're saying.
