Resources on the Bishop's Opening

I have gained an increased interest in the Bishop's opening and I have decided to add it to my repertoire. I was wondering if anyone knew any good resources(videos, books, etc.) on it.

The Bishop’s Opening seems not that bad. Why is it not played more?

I don't know. On Grandmaster level it is played as an alternative to Nf3. For example in the 2018 World Championship match. I do think it is underated.

Overrated?

ItsBenjaminTheChessMan

Underrated I am sorry.

And if you like the Italian but don't want to face a Petrov, it's a good way to try to transpose.

It can also transpose to Vienna and Scotch gambit positions but with a better move order.

Maybe its just the principle "knights before bishops" that a lot of people are applying in their games.

Indeed knights before bishops. The bishop on c4 can be harrassed with ...c6 and ...d5 occupying the center with gain of tempo. It is playable though.
