Restricting Accounts

I am a paying member of this chess club, and I really get fed up with the increasing number of cheats, many of whom are non paying guests, I decline to play people whose notes in their profile indicate that they cheat or who have suspicious ratings which can  vary between 600 and 1900 for example, this coupled with the fact that the notes made about them have obviously been deleted to cover the cheating allegations.
Today I declined to play such a player who's ratings varied from 673 to 1466, I was then informed that because I had abandoned a game ( declined prior to starting ) my account would be suspended for five minutes.
Well done Chess Com penalise the victim who pays for privilege and who is an honest player and support the non paying guest.
A paying member should have the option of playing whom he / she wishes for whatever reason.

The vast majority of those accusations in people's notes are totally unfounded; I put about zero weight in them.  Usually they mean "you beat me, you must have cheated", and when I look at the game it's a complete blunderfest from both players.  There are some members who leave these accusations for almost everyone that beats them.  I doubt you are meeting many cheaters in the 1300s, but if you want to discuss that aspect of things further, you should join the Cheating Forum, as cheating discussions are not permitted in the main forum: https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum

However, if you want to screen opponents, doing so before you accept their seek should avoid any issues.  Once you accept the seek, if you then abort the game, you have cancelled their seek and forced them to create a new one and wait for a new match.  If you abort too many games, you start to face restrictions, and you might also start to be paired against others who do the same.

Just played a game with an honest player who lost connection , and I won on his abandonment. I have now been greeted with another suspension now of 10 minutes for abandoning a game . I didn't realise that when an opponent abandones a game you the victim gets a ban LOL LOL.
What a joke, just give me back my membership money I'll go to a decent club.

That one sounds like a bug.  I'd report it using the bug report tool under the help menu.
