Who's "we"? You mean you were there, or your already knew about it?

ciosp1
Kid is smart. This is new theory called ‘The finger gambit’. You sacrifice a finger to stop the game in a completely lost position. Plus, your robot opponent gets dismissed for hurting a human.

I mean that someone made a forum topic already.

Lol. Yes, I wonder how many different titles or captions people can come up with, starting with @ciosp1 "The Finger Gambit"

varelse1

They're blaming the kid, saying it was his fault.

Does a robot really need that much strength, to pick up a chess piece?

This robot could have been designed to be much safer.

tbwp10

@varelse1 The kid's fault? Is that a Russian thing/standard? In America there'd already be half a dozen lawsuits filed by now

Lagomorph

Putin will send the kid to an institution

assassin3752

I see karjakin has taught him well

Woollensock2
Btw what was the name of that robot ! 🤷‍♂️
Woollensock2
It wasn’t Putin by any chance ! ……just asking ! 🤷‍♂️

For anyone who still think the machine malfunctioned, the kid started making his next move before the bot had finished. It was a human error not an artificial error.

assassin3752

doesnt mean the robot had to strange his fingers

The robot doesn't know where the boy is. Or his fingers.

Doesn't mean the boy had to stick his fingers in the robot's grabber.

(Disclaimer I'm not blaming the boy it was obviously a mistake)

the robot doesnt have eyes?

LMBN

Hey here's a simpler idea: the boy already had eyes so he should have used them.

He wasn't. He was making a move when it wasn't his turn.

That is what the manufacturer is saying. That the kid violated safety rules. ( Which I am sure he did.)

An American manufacturer would be saying the exact same thing. Preparing the public for their disinformation campaign.

But there is no reason a bishop-shuffling robot needs to be designed with enough strength to break a person's finger. So there is certainly negligence on the manufacturers part, here.
