In 1961 Samuel Reshevsky began a 16-game match with the then-current U.S. Champion Robert Fischer; it was jointly staged in New York and Los Angeles. Despite Fischer's recent meteoric rise, consensus opinion favored Reshevsky. Sammy was held in much higher regard then than he is now. In 1964 Bobby Fischer wrote an article for ChessWorld a short-lived American magazine. The article was called “Ten Greatest Masters in History.” Here are the 10 players Fischer named, in no particular order: Paul Morphy, Howard Staunton, Wilhelm Steinitz, Sammy Reshevsky, Mikhail Tal, Siegbert Tarrasch, Mikhail Tchigorin, Alexander Alekhine, Jose Capablanca, and Boris Spassky.   A diagram of the game (Round 3) can be found along with Rounds 1 and 2 at:  www.chess.com/blog/Reshevskys_Revenge
