Scotch open ideas! help!

If Black captures the Knight on d4, he is developing your Queen for you. We covered this in our first session. If Black plays 5...c5, just play 6. Qd1 to keep out of the way of your Bishops. You are ahead in development and d5, d6, and d7 are weak. If 5...Qf6, 6. Be3 reinforces your Queen. An alternaive idea is to essay 4. Bc4, the Scotch Gambit. Black can equalize, but White can get an advantage if Black doesn't know the lines. (Name change, formerly aww-rats)
