It must have been before move 10, right? If someone uses a ton of their total time before move 10, then the game auto-aborts, so people aren't left waiting. How long before the game auto-aborts depends on the time control as described here:

I was playing a game against a random person, fast forward to mid game; The game suddenly abandoned the match after they took my queen via their rook. I didn't close or even move tabs. It just abandoned itself. Is that a purposive thing made by the system or it just glitched because I don't get how I just got thrown, abandoning the game itself without me clicking the resign button.
