Well, he is not gunning down Ukrainians. So he would not be “directly” involved, at least.
Actually, that's an insult to our amphibian friends. But you get the drift - there's always a bully in the room, someone who cheers on hate and cruelty and Chess is no exception - Sergey Karjakin is our Grandmaster Bully.
Yeah, ban him, and I'm sorry Magnus, but worrying that he will become a "martyr" is kind of ridiculous, and a weak excuse to not take a principled stand. Kick him out, we don't need him, and there are plenty of other players to fill his seat.
Aside from official bannings, the best thing any us of can do is simply cut this creep out of our lives and move away from him and anyone like him. Let him wallow in his own swamp, alone.
