Both are under water because the author of the OP is PHISHING!

Now we're asking the real questions.

Kasparov would win no contest.  Since Fischer is dead all Kasparov has to do is make sure it's Fischer's move and he wins on time, drowning or not.

Remember, though, that Fischer is a super computer. So he actually does move.

Even if he drowns he still wins if he drowns when Fischers clock runs out. I don't know the exact chess rules but I guess it counts as a win if your opponents clock runs out no matter if you are still alive or not.

An intriguing thought. But, remember, though Fischer is dead, a super computer with his consciousness is playing our submersed friend Kasparov.

Fischer would crush Sergey ten times out of times ten.

Now this I believe, seeing that they're underwater it would take a MASSIVE amount of force -- more than a regular human like Kasparov could muster -- to physically CRUSH someone 10 seperate times while submerged: Something a Super computer corpse man being controlled by servos COULD do! So, YES, The upsidedown Fischer/Fitbit Bot would crush Kasparov using his robotics.

But now what about the chess? Who wins that?

Master_Po

Fischer would complain and request the contest in a closed different room, due to Kremlin bugs in the water.  Gary acquieces and Bobby dominates.  He gets $100 million and takes off to Tibet.  Ahh ohmmmmm.

Sergey has water-proof slippers on; he's come to play. Robo-Fitb-ischer however has nothing on his tundra-froze (nice catch there mountainstein) dead feet as the cervo-yoga-suit has no footzies.

Fischer is now a rotten player so he loses

DoctorKraken42

Kaspy lost to Blue, so he's gonna lose to whatever comp is operating Fischer's body. Not to mention, comps aren't fazed by being upside-down (or blindfolded), although they might have a negative reaction to being underwater. So really, it comes down to how waterproof the hardware is, and how well Fischer's body protects it. If Kaspy wins, it's gonna be by forfeit.

What use is a supercomputer if it short circuits?

This is a very good point. Now... who would win. Carlsen underwater upside down and blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, or Fischer from a lotus flower dipped in cheese?
