Usually when the server truly crashes games disappear into the void, hence no points reduced/increased. Also no trace can be found in recent matches.

That is what seemed to happen yesterday. Then it reappeared as a game lost on time. Obviously if it was my connection it should have showed immediately after the time elapsed.
