Why or why not you should play the Italian game

IMO evans is good after italian
It's good for Black after 8.Bd2- white should interpose the b1 knight instead.
And 5...Bc5 is far from being the best reaction. 5...Ba5, 5...Be7 and even 5...Bd6 are better moves.

Why should I play it?
It helps you develop your pieces quickly.
You control the center early.
You can castle and keep your king safe easily.
There are lots of tactical chances—you can punish mistakes fast.
The plans are clear and easy to follow.
You can play it quietly or aggressively, depending on your style.
Why shouldn't I play it?
It’s very popular, so your opponent might be well prepared.
Some variations can feel slow or boring.
At higher levels, it has a lot of theory to memorize.
If your opponent defends well, it’s hard to attack.
Well dear reader, today I will be showing you the benefits of the Italian game and if you should play it or not. especially for blitz and bullet. Let's get right to it. Some benefits of the Italian game (1. e4, e5, nf3, nc6, bf4) is that after the following the only choices that black will have that make sense is to defend against ng5, followed by nf7. which will result in a fork. for an example moving your queen or rook will help defend against the for, but waste a move. playing f6 blocks your queen and playing h6 can ruin your pawn structure in a long term attack. the other choice is to for black to mirror the "italian game". but guess what, white will already castle right after you try and mirror the italian game. "but what if black also castles"? you will simply add pressure to the f7/g7/h7 (preferably h7 or g7) square forcing black to defend against checkmate. another defending move for black before the castling happens is to play d6, be6. after that whites knight would most likely be on the g5 sqaure. this is probably one of the ways that u can least dmg yourself as black becuase even though u make isolated pawns. and ruin your pawn strucutre. you can still castle on the queenside after developing all your pieces. overall the benefits of the italian game will leave black struggling with pressure each move giving white significant advanatages. now time for the cons. The cons of the italian game is that their are many ways to defend against it and alot of non harming moves like be6. this may make an isolated pawn but it isnt out in the open its close to the center locking the position in long terms forcing white to make ways around it. another con is that black can easily attack your bishop and knight if they play the right moves quick enough. this means that they will also develop pieces which can lead to some very harmful things. the italian game can also bring a tough Lategame for white. which might result in a draw. overall, the Italian game focuses on constant development and center focused. unfortunately you expose your bishop where any piece can attack it at basically any time. this also leads to a boring symetrical game and even though your doing little small attacks on blacks pawn it doesn't focus the critical spot which is the center when attacking. Now the final question that e have been asking ourselves. "should i play the Italian game or not?" the answer is yes, especially for beginners. it is a very simple game for white and black to play without everyone being unfamiliar. this may get harder to play in higher elo like 1200-max. this is a really good way to get elo as a begginer though helping you get familiar with chess pieces and how they can be working all the time. i hope you appreicate my answer. bye bye!
