Single game rating....

Honestly, I never put too much stock in the estimated ratings but it was a fun feature that incentivized me to login OTB games. However, the coaches commentary on the game was VERY Useful. Now you will only get it against a worthless bot or a live RATED game.

Here are the two screenshots from the review of the game above....

Oh, one other thing, I connect from 2 different computers and both do the same thing, so it doesn't appear to be related to browser cache, etc, but something to do with my account. I'm not diamond, just have a free account at the moment as that suits my current needs, but as it always worked before I don't think it is related to that unless this is now a feature restricted to diamond accounts only.

Game Review is limited to in a day for basic members and the lower depth ones after that don't load the report card at all.

Yes, I could only ever do 1 review a day, which I understood. It sounds, however, like it no longer works for games I upload into my Libraries, and will only work for games I play against the bots, or rated games on chess.com (should I ever play some). That's a shame, as I found it useful to get an idea of how I was doing on all of my games, against people and other chess apps, as well as the games I've played on Chess.com itself.

I was able to get the Report Card on the game on an Analysis Board.

Have you tried on a different browser?

Jazzmanneobop

And here is rhe blank ELO rating from the same game

Actually, I just received feedback and supposedly Chess.com has now limited the feature to only games played against bots or live games for "optimization." I used to be able to upload OTB games, unrated games, and yes Lichess games and get the estimated rating. Now no more by design. So, now I will use chess.com less by design since there is now reason to login in and get the ELO estimates on those non bot or chess.com live games. Optimization achieved all around.

That is not the case. I've been able to run the review on site games and uploaded games as well, in an Analysis Board and Library collection. I've been discussing this particular topic with the staff member responsible for the feature and there's been no indication that there's any such limitation.

Jazzmanneobop

Martin_Stahl - I have not tried with a different browser. I will do that. I used Mozilla Firefox. Has I indicated at the beginning of this thread, the ELO rating was showing the first couple of times I used the analysis and entered in the game moves. But over the last week plus, it has not worked. I'll try doing this on Chrome and see what happens.

Would you like me to paste the feedback I got? I just didn't dream this up myself you know.

Martin_Stahl

I'll test on Firefox a little later and see if maybe there some bad interaction there.

This should not be the case for me as I am a Diamond member. Still it is puzzling that it worked on Firefox for the first week plus the feature was introduced and then stopped working.

You don't need to. I know for a fact that's incorrect information. It's never been the case and I validated it today by trying all the different ways to run a review on site with success.

Well, I know for a fact that that I received the message below today that confirms everything that I am saying. So, the inconsistency lies between you and chess.com. I am just informing this thread on what I received today.

Jazzmanneobop

Martin_Stahl - Just tried with Chrome and still did not show the game ELO rating. What browser are you using?

I just ran a review from my library and it worked as expected. Can you share a PGN (text). If you want to keep it private, by messages.

Sure. This is a PGN from a game I uploaded to my Library that I played (as black) against an App on my phone at level 7 (out of 10). The app doesn't do well with this variation of the Petroff and always ends up losing it's Queen in the first few moves which is annoying, but it is one of the games I haven't got the ELO scores for (will give me the accuracy scores and coaches feedback, and tag all the moves from Brilliant - none in this game - through to blunder, but won't give estimated ELO values).

Jazz and Angus, I already explained it. They TOOK it away unless it is against a bot or a live chess.com game.

In my testing today, mobile Chrome, but the staff member that manages it also tested with no issues.

I ran a review of that on an Analysis Board and from a Library collection with no issues:

That's incorrect. I just posted two examples of uploaded games, without ratings, that provide rating estimates.

As I mentioned, I'm directly working with the staff member over Game Review and the Report Card feature and if there was such a limitation he would have mentioned it

Was that from the game from the PGN?

Well can you explain the message I received then?
