do any you have a hard time sleeping after solving a lot of Tactics and playing chess.

this is actually past midnight  in Denmark and I should be sleeping.

but if I try to sleep I am completely wake.

I have no problems that I am worrying about. my mind is just drifting through some of the chess positions.

If you were doing them on a computer the light interferes with your melatonin production which disrupts your sleep. Apart from the excitement of chess, of course...

One game of chess gives us more to consider than is possible for us to digest during the game itself, so it is only natural that you are experiencing afterpains

yes bobby dk,it happens to me also, i see a lot of diagrams presented  in my eyes and then another diagram and so  on. the explanation to this is  our human brain does not rest while we  are still alive. our human body needs some rejuvenation  and it is sleep that brings  us energy to live for another day aside from constant nourishment by food and water and those  supplements you mentioned. we have to love our brain by eating brain food and regular exercise. regular sex with sex partner is also good for brain enhancement and activation and long life especially for a good sleep . say to yourself i have to rest for tomorrow is  another day,let us not abuse our body same is with our brain, they must be love together.,for optimum performances.Smile
