DOH!!!  Post up  your greatest blunders or loses in winning positions.

Ever play a game where you had a hugh advantage and then suddenly lost by time or some other really 'dumb' reason.  If you ever had one of these 'spectaularly lame' games then please post it up here!  My recent spectacularly lame lose is below.  I used the Franco-Hiva Gambit to lay an assault down on my opponent.  While thinking in the 1st critical position I used up all of my time and then lost  So lame.

If you like that gambit for black then look up its brother the Keoni-Hiva Gambit for White.

This game highlights all the reasons I don't play Blitz or Bullet chess.  Not that they aren't worthwhile, they're just not my style (I'm a poet and I didn't even realize it).  If you become an expert in an unknown opening you have a HUGE advantage, even if the opening is theoretically lost.  Tactical postitions (my favorite kind) become crap shoots, as you don't have the time to properly account for all the variations.

Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us.  I just recently played a game with a friend of mine, in which I thought I had earned a draw by repetition from a lost position.  In fact, HE blundered into mate in 2 twice during the repetition, and I just didn't see it...
