I agree that rude people on here make the site worse than it can be but it is what it is, it's hard to monitor thousands of people at a time, the web programers have written code to try and detect foul language and other things but it isn't perfect. It will get better over time assuming the majority of us actually care about the sportsmanship of chess.

Making a forum about this won't exactly help with this problem. There are so many more forums like this one.

And if people are mean to you, don't deal with them. Just shrug it off and carry on with your life, cause it's not the end of it.

The annonymity of the internet allows some to act like they wouldnt in person.  The internet is electronic courage, just as beer is liquid courage.

You have a right to be hurt by bad words.  And no it doesnt mean youre weak, or "thin skinned"  It shows youre human, with human emotions.  

What i would like to say is, consider the source.  Keep in mind that you dont encounter this stuff in person, like you do online.  

Dont get mad, feel sad for the person that feels they need to treat people that way.  You dont know what is going on in there life, or what happened that got them to that point.
