good morning good people...i am looking for an aggressive opening for white which would not be a gambit...i play the scotch currently but its not something you usually see in high level games...any recommendations would be appreciated ☺

because winning is so much more fun than losing...my inability to properly learn from my mistakes makes life so difficult...for example...i know i should learn about pawn structure...attacking the base of the chain etc...but having the knowledge and applying it is a great weakness for me haha if i knew how to apply things I've learned it should help a great deal😊

You're making the assumption that trendy GM openings will help you win. Take up the Najdorf Sicilian then. There aren't many openings the GMs like better than that one. See how far it gets you.
I see your point...maybe i should stick to the scotch for white and first learn to play middlegame positions better...Najdorf has been a thought for a while now together with the scheveningen...i get slaughtered by the yugoslav when playing the dragon so black definitely needs a change😊

I think the Italian is pretty aggressive....aggressive play from both sides...it s like a good spaghetti bolognese.
