Hmmmm . . . I dunno . . . do they have any value after France switched to the Euro in 2002?

You mean like as in K-12 teaching kids?  HAW!  I can't stand the little bastards.  If I had an entire classroom of the little monsters it wouldn't take long before you'd all be reading and watching news stories about something terrible that happened in a school room when I finally snapped.

Cystem_Phailure

Well, maybe if you keep them long enough they'll eventually get some value as antiques?  Although there must be a lot of them still bouncing around the world that never got turned in and converted over to Euros, so it might be a few millenia before they're worth much.

I am sorry but the thread-starter has a point.  He keeps this site going by having a diamond membership - he is entitled to at least one GM game per month.

Dear friend;

Your rating is 519 so I think the real issue here is you should simply give up chess.  I know I wouldn't waste my time playing you.  [Offensive - Deleted by Moderator]  No one wants to lower their station in life unless they have absolutely no choice.  So accept the fact that chess is a game for intellectuals and you're not even close.

Adequately yours,

 Intellectuals!!!

Whatever.Half the people on this site are nobodies like you, and don;t even work. It is just a game that you ned to think at like all others

As a platinum member am I entited to 1 IM game per month, or 1 GM game every 2 months?

EDIT:  written in response to post #40

Here_Is_Plenty

As a platinum member you get a dinner-date with an established WGM player.

I'm stuck playing against a guy rated close to 700 points higher than me cause I forgot to withdraw from the tourney, I was silly enough to join.

How many rating points will you lose by resigning?

Probably none, but I might as well stick it out, and see how long I last. But why should I worry about rating points, when I don't have any anyway? I'll see if I can make 20 moves.

I've had the same problem for the opposite reason. Some 1000-rated players abort on seeing my 1500-ish rating.

Seriously, though, I'll play anybody. At least for the first game. If I get totally thumped or otherwise feel that it's time to change opponents, I won't rematch.

Maybe you should start selecting what strength of opponents you want. The seek box lets you do that.

Topic creator...

I am more than happy to play you, though I would prefer it be unrated. Bullet (or is it lightning? The 1-0 time control) is my favorite to play.

As a friendly suggestion, I suspect that more people would accept your challenges if the games were unrated rather than rated. Feel free to add me to your friends list for some unrated bullet action!

Well Fed, what have you read? At 400 pounds, you'll soon be dead! What do you eat that you consider a treat? When was the last time you saw your feet? Send your limo for the OP. You two can dine most amicably!

You bought a Mac and expected things to work? That is the most ridiculous part of your post.
