Does anybody know if there is a live feed of the Sparkassen Dortmund tournament. The official page

http://www.sparkassen-chess-meeting.de/2015/

does not seem to have any link to live games.

They usually post a link once the games start, but transmit with 15 minute delay.

Thanks a lot. I'm interested in the performance of Hou after this shameful azeri tournament. Defeated by no name azeri IMs, how low can one go in selecting opponents?

But at this tournament at least there is normal opposition of her own class.

Very nice link, thanks.

How on Earth can they not give a link to this ( or a link of any kind to any live feed ) at the official home page less than 2 hours before the games start?

Hou played a draw, this is a pleasant surprise. I finished following the game yesterday when she blundered(?) her center pawn and the engine showed +2 advantage for Meier.

Naiditsch won against Kramnik. He has also beaten Carlsen several times ( not to speak of the painful memory of him beating Leko at the olympiad in a game critical to the final result ). I always had the feeling that he is stronger than his rating, he should be fighting for a place in the top 10 instead of being under 2700...

What was this Qe2? Do you really want to experiment against Kramnik who is well known for his opening preparedness, instead of playing the stable Ruy Lopez structure which at least gives some hope for a draw? Bleh...

Gashimov played Qe2 with a score 3.5/5, even scoring a win against Kramnik.

On the other hand, Kramnik lost 2 games with this being played so... Well, now he has 1/3 after today's miniature - almost. Smile

Hou played it 4 times now. Draws against Zhao & Dronavalli, a win against Vallejo Pons last year and a loss against Berlin resident. Tongue Out

Leave me alone with statistics ( "I only believe in statistics that I doctored myself..." ).

This move is not played. If you want to avoid the Berlin which is known to be Kramnik's formiddable weapon, then you simply play d3:

Qe2 is a sideline move which is rarely played, anyway it leads to a sharp game. Is that what Hou really wanted, a sharp game against Kramnik? Or did she look at the figures you quoted before the game and decided that Kramnik is best defeated with Qe2 based on the experience of 3 games?

I'm really getting disappointed in Hou. She used to play solid lines, even boring, but it worked for her. This vagabond style is not her own.

I liked this game by Hou today against Naiditsch. She really is a staunch defender. Were not for this unnecessary gambling against Kramnik, she might be standing on 0 score after 5 games which against this level of opposition would be quite remarkable. Of course from here on it is all down hill facing Caruana ( who is in it for tournament victory ) with the black pieces tomorrow...
