Square OFF

Good Day All,

So I was gifted the squareOFF board for Christmas.   I have some questions if someone is willing to help.

1.  I logged in using the same handle as my internet browser interface which is @jamerolle2 and it's treating games played on the SquareOFF board and app as a new separate account, is there a way to synchronize accounts into 1 account so my long-standing history is linked to SquareOFF.

2.  I noticed that when putting out a seek on SquareOFF there is no way to adjust the rating range of opponents.  Is that possible on the SquareOFF app?

3.  I noticed there is no random color option when posting a seek, you choose either white are black.  This does not seem correct as you can always choose white, is there a random color that can be activated that I am missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Square-Off accounts and chess.com accounts are separate. There should be a way to link your chess.com account through their app so you can play games on site here

I discovered if you play random play on SquareOFF the account is linked. The last two games in my history were played via the SquareOff app and board. Thanks for the feedback.

I am looking to buy an electronic chess board and set.

Which company should i go for in terms of features, reliability and ease of use.

The problem with Sqaureoff is their customer service is horrible, and false advertisements for their so-called warrantee. You send an email and get no answers. After spending $ 500 on the Grandkindom I wanted to have a replacement white king. My king is slow to respond to my moves. Finally, after several emails, they told me to wait until their next shipment on March 10th then I could order a replacement. I was beside myself thinking, what about my warranty and stock from another set?

Then I ask another question, Why does the Squareoff app use an outdated version of Stockfish 14 instead of the free upgrade of Stockfish 16? Needless to say, the email did not get a response. Go with something American considering you are from the USA, as shipping is a factor.

Playing on chess.com and LIChess is weak as well. As the pieces are moving about the board and traveling off the board which is cool your clock is ticking and wasting away before the pieces land on their spots. So playing on those two platforms you end up having to blitz your moves or you lose on time. However, when playing on the Squareoff platform the clock is adjusted correctly and the volume of players at my strength level is small. I would stay away.
