Stalling Game

I have been playing a bullet facing a titled player (FM) a few moments ago and I managed to force a checkmate position. He already knows the position and when it was his time still left more than 20 seconds, but he deliberately stalling game until the time ends by itself. Did you have any knowledge of the site management policy that prohibits this and what kind of sanctions?

I wouldn't imagine so. Because bullet games are so short, him running his 20 seconds and losing probably wouldn't incur anything against him.

These rules apply to long games only.

It is beyond my comprehension why any player in any kind of timed play would get persnickity about what the opponent should or shouldn't do with HIS time. Get a life, son. Smile

As a titled player (FM), he should not have to think long because it clearly shows the position of a forced checkmate. Stalling the game would create an impression that the he deliberately avoid losing by checkmate or resignation. According to me, it's not fair.

Ok, by the way.. thanks for your feedback.

You know, wasting 20 seconds makes me laugh.

I played someone where the game was over in six months. He dragged it out for another six months...one year, total. I never said a word.

The two cases are different. We played bullet with 1 minutes time control, so we must move soon. Hehe..

No, as your opponent proved, you do not have to move soon.  That's just your assumption.

Hehe,,,you dont know about bullet because you never play it. Lol..

Are you kidding?  Who needs to play pre-move BS in order to see it as BS?  Blitz is bad enough for your game, but bullet is horrible.  You see how bad it gets to you; twenty seconds--TWENTY SECONDS--is too long for you to wait.  Somebody else said it before, but I'll say it again--get a life, son.

thats funny because all the best GM's in the game today play blitz/bullet including Magnus Carlsen. Just because your not good at speed chess, doesnt mean you can slander it saying it makes your gameplay worse.

You only play bullet because you're not strong enough to play OTB.  You get pre-move wins and act like you are the next Magnus.  And any strong player will tell you that blitz is bad for your game and that bullet is worse.  As I said, get a life, the both of you.

Dont talk about OTB (irrelevant). We play live chess here. I wonder you play blitz because you're not strong enough to play bullet/lightning. hehe..
Could you play bullet like me?

If you won, what's the problem? Don't you get the same amount of points whether winning by checkmate or by time? (someone correct me here if I am wrong on that assumption)

are you that dumb? Many top gm's play blitz including Magnus Carlson who always competes in world blitz events.

and I am rated 1790 in OTB, so your opinion is invalid.

Yeah no problem... but am I wrong in the assumption that you get the same points whether you win by time or by checkmate?
