Hello all I love chess been playing for a few years now but lately I've been getting so angry when I lose (yesterday I punched my door which isn't like me) only because I know I am better then what I play and I make stupid blunders, but I think I am burnt out I play every day around 10-20 game a day bliz and rapid depends what mood I'm in,  it normal to feel like that?'

Im just worried that a break from chess will set me back of what I have learnt and I don't want that to happen so any advice would be appreciated thankyou for reading

Whenever you lose a game, stop playing and analyse it first so as to learn from your mistakes.
Always check your intended move is no blunder before you play it. This little bit of discipline will make you stronger and also save you the frustration of losing by stupid blunders.

I limit myself to ONE 30 minute game per day   win lose or draw   i either stew over it or relive it..... but my points are on an upward curve  ...  to relieve chessaholicism I might spar with bots or my chess app     for the purposes of chess my points matter and I don't give them up easy

Play longer games, gives a chance to catch a cup of tea between moves and clear your head

It sounds like you need a break. A week or two away from chess will not set you back, but will help you to put things in perspective. Chess is just a game, it's supposed to be fun, not a source of frustration

It’s just a game, have fun learning and take the losses as critical lessons to improve on, not bruises to your ego.

Forget chess my friend, how does your hand feel? Does the door require fixing? Trust me, stay away from boxing-bad idea.

You play too many games. Just play 5 or even 10 at most then dedicate the rest of the time to tactics and study.

Don’t forget to analyse your games!

"Blitz" is not for you right now...'speed kills'.

Think of it this way: in order to take a basketball and dribble it down the court against opposition...you first have to learn to stand still and dribble...then walk and dribble, walk faster...switch the ball from one hand to another and rotate our body (no longer walking in a straight line), get faster - a slow jog perhaps - and practice making certain turns and speeding things up in general.

Only then should you try what you want to be able to do in the end.  Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for getting frustrated and failure.

For non pro players (we all), chess should be just fun. Maybe playing some bullet games and getting used to lose in winning positions you will take defeats with more calm. Don't pay much atention to ratings, just try to have a good time playing.

Iv been off work for 2 months due to an injury, im not going to forget how to do the job iv been doing for 10 years in 2 months. Everyone needs a break eventually.

All these comments are very good. I would add only that you realize chess is a game of emotion. One needs to learn to control it to get better. It is part of the game.
