Stuck at current level

Stuck at current level. Many of my chess peers who are younger than me (I am a middle aged man and they are teenagers) are improving fast. I learned basic chess when I was a teenager, then forgot about it for more than 20 years. One day I decided I probably should pick up some of my old hobbies for a more fulfilling life with the opportunity of consistent personal development. Hence here I am. Tend to stress when daytrading in the markets, usually lose chess games when stressed and/or tired. Can lose 5 or 6 games in a row after trading. Sometimes chess just doesn't feel like the fun it used to be due to "chess tilt" and rating not improving. I am considering hiring a chess coach but my busy work schedule might not allow any intensive study (what I mean is, young people can spend hours and hours on chess, maybe 6 or 8 or even 10 hours per day, while my work and family commitment won't allow this). Anyway, being stuck at the current level is frustrating, and I really wish to make a breakthrough somehow. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
