My view is that you should use it if you want to win in situations where your opponents have it at their disposal as well (i.e. here). I think the key is not to get lazy. Always use your visualization/imagination just as you would in an OTB situation first, relying on the AB only to 'check your work.'
MY personal superstition is that playing online (with or without the AB) encourages '2D' visualization and makes it harder for me to 'see' when I'm looking down (at an oblique angle) at a real 3D chessboard. If that's not total BS, then I assume the only cure is to maintain a regular schedule of OTB games.

I can see where your coming from, but i suppose i believe that if you're a good chess player then something like this will not stop your talent from coming through

i confess i'm too nervous about 'mouse slips' to play touch move on the pc!
