I use one called TacticTrainer. It works even when your offline, and it provides analysis after you make your move, which is nice to help you understand the answer if you got it wrong

I like "Chess Tactics - Free Strategy Trainer". The title is mis-leading, it's about tactics and not strategy. You get a grade, and I believe all puzzles are uploaded by users. It's not against the clock. You can also see comments uploaded by users for each puzzle

Yes you can. There are 4 different piece sets, and 4 or 5 different boards. The boards are pretty much just different shades of gray, but one is "wood"
