Does anyone know if the correct answers are always the best moves? I'm a noob, be gentle.

For whichever side you are playing, yes, they are always the best moves. There are some tactics where the other side will make an inferior move so you can play an alternate line in the tactic.

I thought so. There have been a couple of times I wondered if an alternate move was equal. I'm certain I was mistaken now. Thank you for the response.

Debatable.

It is the best move according to the computer. I have had several problems where the end result was the same, in the same amount of moves, and one of those moves a bit different.

But what do I know?

So I put the moves I made in the comments section to see what others thought about it and they reached the same conclusion I made. Same result in same number of moves.

That is the same feeling I had. I should have put it to a vote like you did.

I agree with Topalov, I've also had tactics where I was sure my move was equal or better than the one given.. When I put it in the engine, there's always a refutation to my move..  If you find a tactic that has more than one solution or an inferior move, you should report it since it's not supposed to be there.

NM6  They been all removed. Since people are asked to report those kind of tactics
