Good game. Looks like Gary played the Caro-Kann to try to frustrate Tal, and then offered the opportunity for a sacrifice that couldn't be followed through. I was waiting for Tal to try something with the knight on f5!

yeap.maybe you're right.maybe it was a come-and-get-me move.or maybe Garry was just trying to prevent the white knight from using the e4 square.dunno.
I do think that a much better move was 24.Qe5! instead of the move actually played.it prevents the defensive move 24...Rc7 and prepares moves like 25.g3 Qg5 26.f4 forcing the black queen out the defence of the e7 square.
hmm...on second thought...I think 24...Kf8 is a good defence to that move...all the tactical possibilities in this game are making my head explode lol!!
