we have it again, the computer chess championship.. after many years of only top 3 engines , SF,houdini, and Komodo dominating the was a disturbance last year .with the new AI neural base engine alpha zero beating SF 28-0 , match which many believe was held under unfair condition against the favor Sf. however these results inspired the birth of a new self learning chess engine now known as leela chess zero which spooked the world by winning its place as the best 2nd engine in the world and of only less than a year of its birth. ..tcec final saw SF prove once again why its till the top engine by snatching a draw in many win position.. From there a birth of a new name for stockfish as the Minister of defence..the tcec 2019 finals are around the corner..who do you think will win the match and what is your score again between SF and leela chess zero?

LC0 wins. I'd thought more people would be talking about this. it is a significant moment for ai, chess and computer chess.

Is it? We already knew that NN can be strong enough to win against the strongest AB engines even if chess’s nature is less strategic than Go’s. And AlphaZero wasn't even optimized for chess, and it was even just a "small" side project.

But I also thought there would be more attention. LC0 is open, free and the only noteworthy NN chess engine that it is available. And we saw that it is far from being perfect. It blundered a lot, and the endgame and tactical positions are clearly in Stockfish’s favor. And wouldn't it be nice if Stockfish could also be improved? We saw some weaknesses, for example the pawn structure, and maybe there are some ways to improve that.
