Teaming up to improve our chess

Hello

I was thinking about forming a group to improve our overall chess. Group consisting of similar style of players and who play similar openings.

Probable Benefits:

  1. We can share our opening analysis and ideas , also we can help one another out with some of the openings according to one's weakness.
  2. We can analyse  games played by our group members  and learn new ideas from it or learn from one's mistakes--- This also has additional benefit that  Game analyzed would be on a opening that we usually play, so very good chance that the analysis would be really helpful in our future games.
  3. Just in case we want to analyze a new line in one of the openings , we can divide the variations to be analyzed among ourselves to save time.

To start with i play e4 as white and mostly happen to play against sicilian or french. With Black i mostly play French against e4 and Nimzo-Indian,Queens-Indian against d4. Also, i am more of a positional player. One more thing i am just a decent player but just love playing chess and improving.

So i am looking for people who play similar openings as i do so that we can improve our chess together. We can discuss other details later. Also, others can form similar groups to improve their chess.

Feel free to give in suggestions too.

Did Vishy put you up to this?  That dude will do anything to get his title back.

Sounds good.

We should not just focus on those openings, we should focus on all openings. We should have a vote for an opening of the month where we specifically go deep into detail on a specific opening for an entire month. We should also have correspondence group tournaments specifically only for our group, on various openings.

It shouldn't stop at just openings, we could have tactical puzzles put up, endgame practice, etc.

If you do start this group, I'm all in.
