Anand is a great player and has been the World Champion for 5 consecutive times so direspecting him is bad.He is a legend and has the petential to beat Carlsen but the latter is no less, he is a young, talented, and skillful player and deserves the title.Anand should have won the candidates and played Carlsen. I supported him, but had he won the candidates, I would have supported Magnus in the championship because, the latter is my favourite player.

In his mid-40s, I don't think he has the legs to go at it in a long event like the WC any more against someone in his prime.
