One of this epidemic on this site are bunch of players always claiming silly stuff that cheating does not happen on chess.com and I literally take the time out of my day to play numerous players, i investigate their accounts, check how old the account is, their playstyle, the best moves and the probability of that player playing that give movebestmove.
but the reality is that this is an absurd amount of points primarily in the rapid time control pool which has proven my point since day one that cheating is slower time controls is far more common and many players are using more and more advanced cheating methods to hide or get passed the algorithm. So just be aware if you are using an engine or trying some clever tactic, their is not a tactic I have not seen. You will be discovered and banned. I literally follow accounts i suspect of cheating and monitor those accounts. If you do cheat stop, you have nothing to gain by doing it other than hurting yourself and the games enjoyment.. Nothing more depressing than loosing an end-game to a 1200 who somehow plays a near perfect end-game through luck, or finding a 7 move sequence.
The common argument is that a player can play far above their rating and it's just luck. This is nonesense, you can play above your rating at most a few times but to play 1000 points above your rating is basically impossible or you would be a higher elo. So stop justifying those who cheat cheating is cheating period. Thanks to chess.com for this message I will continue to hunt down cheaters whereever i find them and we will clean this up to make a great chess world
. I love your product chess.com
