I was playing the conniving cpu medium programmed with swindles to the dot.. and I was at 1299 rating getting above 1300 blitz for me, and after a few swindles I went on tilt, because of the way the computer makes its moves.. and I hit my laptop on the keyboard and it no longer works.

thanks for making chess great

I believe this translates to:

I have no self control and randonly throw fits and hit things, but its not my fault.

I actually think you guys are being a little hard on the OP.  I read it as a combination of selfdeprecation and sarcasm.  I think he's well aware of how foolish his behavior was and simply wanted to share in a "misery loves company" kind of way.  I'm often wrong though...Embarassed Laughing

The programmers at chess.com need to learn that their actions have consequences. You can't just program the computers however you like, because you decisions impact not only yourself, but millions of people worldwide. The programmers need to take all of those people into account and do what's best for them. That's how society progresses. You have to care about other people, and go out of your way to help them. Am I right people?

If you glue your computer to your ceiling you won't hit it so much, but it might fall on your head unless the glue holds. Still I advise doing something, anything, to not have this happen again, because if it does, you will probably inform us, and then you get a lot of posts trying to help you remedy your situation. Here's another thing: I fix a lot of equipment by kicking it hard, as once the dust comes off of the electrical contacts, you've got a closed circuit again, and voila, the thing works. If you kick your computer with a steel-toed boot, for instance, near the electrical epicenter, or ganglion, or whatever you would call the electrical zone or heart of the computer, you will see results. Sometimes, you will even see some termites come out from the ports.
