Thank you for reminding me why I never bother with the forums here.
The darkside defense
Could someone please explain how the red post and Scotland are gambits?
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that this is a thread about chess openings. It's not. The original poster started a nonsense thread about nonsense moves with made up "opening names" just to trick beginners into wasting their time reading this instead of doing something useful.
As I said, for me, it's a reminder of how the signal to noise ratio on the forums here is so terrible that there's really no point in ever visiting these forums. There are plenty of places to actually discuss chess on the internet. The chess.com forums aren't one of them. Every few months, I come back to the forums here to see if there's any interesting conversations going on, so it's good to get such an obvious reminder of why I stay away.
the darkside defense is a litteraly tricky & dangerous opening
lets see how it works: 1:f3 d4 2:e4 d5
when e4 meets d5 it becomes the darkside defense
here are some gambits from the darkside defense
1.fierren gambit
2.blackmer-demier gambit
3.scotsland gambit
4. red post gambit
so that is it for the topic
