Mobile phone tucked under the chin, changing the radio with the left hand steering with the right whilst checking the latest move by Gonusuke and turning back to talk to the kids what better start to any morning could one desire?
The future of chess - on the move

All that multitasking could be dangerous. Think of how horrific it would be if you slipped up in one of your games because you were busy driving.

Brilliant! Now I know what those two Northwest pilots were really up to when they overshot Minneapolis-St.Paul!

But you could play chess whilst going round a roundabout and your pieces wouldn't fall over.
I am offering a solution to chess-based dyspraxia to the great unwashed.
What's not to like?

Ok. Go ahead and checkmate Gonnosuke.
Instead, Gonnosuke will be celebrating because your car tipped over at the roundabout.

I have recently programmed Rybka 3 into my Garmin nuvi 1690 sat nav.
It's awesome. I've seen the future and it's on my dashboard.
I can now play chess as I drive. Last night I delivered checkmate whilst overtaking an eighteen wheeler pantechnicon on the M4 just past Swindon at 100 miles an hour. It's an almost spiritual experience.
I've hit paydirt. I have a patent pending and am already spending like a millionaire. The future's bright the future's chess on the move.
What can go wrong?
Hummm, 100 miles an hour! I bet you didn't even noticed that speed camera up at the M4 flashing while you were busy playing chess on your satnav...

Mike456784, he didn't say he was using it to win games on chess.com. Are you calling him a cheater for owning a damn chess engine? Seriously, settle down.

Your are allowed to own a chess engine. Just don't use it during games on chess.com.
I often like to spend my 2 hour drive back up the M4 from London analyzing recent games on the sat-nav.
I'm even thinking of developing a smaller version for my bicycle.

What about on airplanes? You can watch movies, why not play chess on those little screens?
Really, though, I think it's a pretty good idea!
