I'm kind of curious, at the upper ratting levels perhaps 2000 and above are errors made, and if part of being a Chess Master is not only the ability to not make a mistake in the first place but also if in making a mistake, figuring a way out of it?
Or if at this level, realizing you made a mistake, knowing the expertise of you opponent you are fairly certain at that point you won't be able to recover?
Are there expert players who excel at getting themselves out of tight spots in other words. Or it it a matter of at this point just hoping you opponent makes a similar mistakes which allows you to recover?
