eek
the most cursed smile ever seen 😄

Not so interested in the smile, but why didn't White take the Bishop? Why didn't he at least defend the Rook?
Maybe the time controls had him scatterbrained?
This to me is "Uuuuuuhhhhhh huh huh"
lefong is a common term in bullet where you place the bishop on h3 anticipating that the opponent will premove fianchettoing and then you capture it, a fun dirty trick lol

That is usually reverse psychology. When blundering pieces, the opponent is usually underestimating you because you just blundered, so he will play more "freely" and more "fast" thus his accuracy will go downhill, and then you can "unleash your true self" and destroy him.

What benefit does this give? You lose a Bishop and a Rook.
As a beginner, I understand that White would be down TWO pieces, 8 points in material.
OK.
Now what?
its a dirty trick in which black or white can lose depending on who tries to lefong but him giving me the rook is kind of weird as he should only be down a piece not 2

Oh I see now. Yes I think Rg1 should have been played.
This must be a "higher rated player" thing, I've never heard or even imagines such a thing.
Of course, I'm always paired with other beginners so this is new to me.
well beginners can lefong too its just you have to try and get good at a certain point where you are able to notice the speed in which they move, i had a feeling he would fianchetto and just did it cause i knew he would just premove instantly lol

Because this is bullet, of course! Time plays a great factor.
Â
Moving bishop to a3/h3/a6/h6 is Fuchuina's specialty. It can go both ways, but if the opponent premoves (who premoves moves like ...Bxh6 anyway?), then it's sayonara for the opponent.
Â
Fuchina is experienced enough to anticipate his opponent's moves like in the game (Bg2 and a non-movement of the h1 rook).

dont fear a man who smiles once but smiles a thousand times creepily - OwO
Â
But wait, why does White have a timing of 00:49 at the point where 3...Bxg2 happens? It took him 11 seconds to...lose a bishop on the third move?

no he got lefonged then i think was raging, i waited 11 secs for him to move

Very, very interesting thread.
Totally learned "Lefong" I think it's called.
To me I think It's like a poisoned Knight Pawn, where the Rook moves to attack the Queen and gets counter play.
this is a good example of a lefong at higher levels, andrew is super dirty 😳
