So I thought I'd write some of the less than obvious rules and lessons in the game of Chess, feel free to add to it, and maybe we can all be a little wiser for it,

The Rules of Chess
Poker is the game of Capitalism,
Chess is the game of Life.
Beware of gambit's, nothing is for free,
Never under-estimate your opponent.
Many an experienced player has fallen at the hands of children...
So play the board not the player.
A soldier may win the battle, but an army wins the war...
If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.
Don't give up so hastely, sometimes you think you've blundered and it turns out things are better than you anticipated.
You will only learn to avoid mistakes, by making those mistakes hundreds of times.
Even the best fall down sometimes.
Be Humble in victory and graceful in defeat... or noone will want to play with you.
Don't waste peoples time, if you get all worked up because you're losing, learn from it, it does no good for you to be miserable from a loss. The points are not that important!
Above all else... Have fun! If you're not having fun... what's the point?...
It might feel good,
it might sound a little somethin',
but damn the game if it don't mean nothin'.
