Was the Shawshank Redemption's character Andy Dufrense named after the opponents in the famous "Evergreen Partie" chess game, Anderssen and Dufrense?  Is Stephen King a chess player?  I would love to ask him this?

I've read an interview where he said that the naming and the age of the characters are something unintentional; they just come to him. I think it was a coincidence. Having also read about 30 of his books, I'd be surprised if he was a chess player, as I don't remember even one character eho plays chess in hia books.

My wife was the one who pointed this out to me this morning when I referred to the game by the name of it's participants as we chess players often do.  But yes I've read maybe 5 or 6 of King's works of fiction and don't remember any chess.
