The intelligent civilized man who is college educated and finds the game interesting.
And the fat pig who needs a way to simulate intelligence for himself because he's a failure in life. He also has anger issues with all those years of bullying/failure and feels a need to exercise power and insult others over a chess game.
And then there are the children who have taken up the game as a hobby.
This is what I've noticed at both the tournaments and on this website.
