Meanwhile returning to the " Subject " of this thread the number 18.8 million has now been reached.

And we have now roared past 18.9 million !

The new country of Ubanistan, population 1.2 million, is awarding all it's citizens a free account at chess.com. When the paper work is completed, the 20 million mark will be a short history !

The 19 million mark has been reached, less than 1mil needed now to reach the Big 20 million !

Should we all call All our friends and ask them to join?  Or Email them and ask them to Send Emails to  20 of Their Friends, asking Them to join?    .... and so on, and so on, in the grand tradition of "chain letters" and "pyramid schemes"  -- until, eventually, we're All Rich?!   Come on!  Who's with me?!!

(Did I leave out the part about how everybody's supposed to "send a dollar" to whoever sent them the first email? .... that part could be important.)

Great news AlCzervik ! No not the lack of players but the 19.2 million mark has been reached ( maybe you can have better luck now   lol ). 

It is now 19.3 million and counting.

Who's counting?  Is it a computer?  .... personally, I don't trust them.

For me this number is real, the problem, i am sure, is that a big % are blocked/closed/trolls/fake/double/abandoned accounts.

For me, real and active players, maybe about 30% of that number.
