Threefold repetition glitch

Hello everyone.

Here is a link to a 2|1 game I just played (and was losing horribly), where a position occurred three times, I offered a draw, and it was not accepted. I believe that the server made an error and did not recognise my draw offer as a forced draw. Am I missing something here?   The repetitions begin on move 36.

Here is the game:

Thanks!

Isn't there supposed to be a draw button popping up and you click on it?  Have to claim it somehow...

Did you press the "offer draw" button after black made move 40....Rh3+ ?

I'm new to the site, but I think I had a similar game a few weeks ago in which the automatic repeat position draw kicked in after five moves rather than the usual three. Anyone else have this experience?

After 40...Rh3+ you should have clicked the "Claim Draw" button.

It's not automatic on this site, you need to claim it by pressing the draw button. If it happened after five repititions and you didn't press that button then it means your opponent did press it after the fifth repitition.

So it seems that you have to click the "Claim draw" button IMMEDIATELY after the repetitions take place and if you wait another move, you lose the opportunity? This does not make sense to me but perhaps that is the rule in tournament play as well. I do not know.

Helpful to know--thanks.
