Yeah it seems that way. I don't know if they work hard on not losing rather than winning but the old players that just went for it rather than defending to much were a damn site more entertaining.

Ive watched the Grand Chess Tour,and then world Championship, and I've come to the conclusion that Chess has become the new complicated version of tic tac toe. By this I mean when the Super GMS play each other, don't expect either to win...rather expect a draw in the classical format. If it weren't for the use of the Rapid format ,at high level chess, this game would suffer a great loss of interest .
