Timeout bug

This is getting ridiculous. In the past 30 minutes I have lost two matches to timeout. In each match it showed my opponents clock ticking down. My connection bar was 4 out of 4, and my internet connection stable. Then it would immediately switch to my turn, reduce my clock to zero and I would lose to timeout. In both games I had very commanding positions (+5 in one and +4 in the last one).

Has anyone else been experiencing this? It was bad enough the timing system was recently changed so you cannot use the last about 1.5 seconds.

This happened to me today in 3 minute blitz, I was +5 & pre-moved with 1:26. Once opponent moved my clock automatically changed to 0:00 lost by timeout! No idea why because I have good, fast, stable Wifi connection? Playing on iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Happened to me a few times over the last few days as well. Decent signal but I see my opponents clock ticking down and then all of a sudden I timeout .

I have the same issue. This started about two weeks ago and Happens with regularity now. I watch my opponent’s time drain to .1 while I have a pre-move set and plenty of game time on my clock. Then it switches to opponent has plenty of time and I lost on timeout.

Yep. It’s gotten to the point where it’s not uncommon. At least in 3 minute blitz games.

Same issue has happened 3 times now. I’m obviously still connected as I’m chatting with my opponent (I told him to move and he said it’s my turn…)

can we get this sorted? The support is bot only and hopeless!

Happened to me also more than once, in a winning position. Really pissed because it affects my ranking, chess.com better sort this out and give me my points back this is unfair!
