Well if you have a diamond membership which i noticed you do, I believe you can go to insights in stats and see how you well you do against people from different countries (along with a lot of other analytics.) You perhaps could be right about people from certain countries being better than others, but it's not very likely.. I mean a 1200 from Poland should be the same from someone India right? And im pretty sure there's no rating inflation in certain countries lol
Timezone and rating
I'm picking up this topic because I have the exact same feeling and wanted to see if other people observe the same. I'm seeing a very clear pattern that if I play in the morning in Europe, I can easily win a bunch of games in a row, while if I play at night in Europe, there goes my Elo back down.
It seems to me that there are different pools of players based on timezone, such that some timezones have stronger players and other timezones have weaker players for the same rating.
I wonder if this has been studied and if there are stats for this. Average accuracy vs rating per timezones would be very interesting to see.

I am wondering if it is only me or if anyone else shares the feeling that players with a similiar rating in different timezones seem to be of different strength?
I have started to feel like the strongest opponents (relative to their rating) come from Asia (India, South-Korea, Vietnam etc.) and then after that the strongest pool seems to be Eastern-Europe, then maybe rest of Europe+Africa and for some reason the Americas feel the weakest. Australia and New Zealand are somewhere in the mix.
This is meant as no offense to anyone. It seems reasonable that there could be these different "timezone-pools" within the rating system since people from opposite sides of the globe will mostly be playing at different times.
This is purely based on my own experience and highly subjective and speculative, but I am interested to hear what other people think about this.
